Experience

Bergstedt served as a respected member of the Pepperdine University administration leading three departments -- University Events, Advancement Relations and Annual Fund and Alumni Advancement.  These departments served to engage thousands of supporters, raise millions of dollars, develop strong boards and serve the University’s constituents.   

She was appointed as director of the Inauguration Programs for Pepperdine’s seventh president.  She also served as director for the Challenged to Lead fundraising campaign launch event and build successful donor engagement travel programs.

In addition, she served in various fundraising roles including major gift officer. As a member of Pepperdine’s creative marketing group, she wrote and produced numerous fundraising letters, publications, event production scripts and promotional videos.

As a consultant she has provided counsel and action plans resulting in $100K to $1M funds raised per event. She created and implemented plans for effective fundraising events as diverse as black-tie dinners, receptions, golf tournaments, concerts and auctions. In addition, she has developed success strategies for board and volunteer engagement, sponsorship acquisition and marketing. With the shift to virtual events, Bergstedt has utilized her production skills to create engaging and entertaining online programs.

Outside of her traditional fundraising events, Bergstedt has a passion for creating silent retreat programs for Christian non-profit organizations and churches.  She serves as a mentor for disadvantaged youths through CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) and is active in the Southern California equestrian community.
